Gadsden County Chamber of Commerce Appoints Ty Smith as Next Executive Director

GADSDEN COUNTY, FL (November 11, 2025) – The Gadsden County Chamber of Commerce is proud to announce Ty Smith as its new Executive Director, introducing a new chapter for the Chamber’s mission to promote economic growth by supporting local businesses and strengthening community partnerships in Gadsden County.

Ty Smith, a Gadsden County native and a proud alumna of Florida A&M University and Liberty University, with almost two decades of experience in business creation and administrative leadership within and beyond Gadsden County, proves to be a great fit as the next Executive Director and lead the Chamber towards growth and sustainability.

“I am honored to serve Gadsden County and its diverse community of local business professionals,” said Ty Smith. “My vision is to build on the Chamber’s strong foundation and help position Gadsden County as a place for growth and innovation in the economic sense. By working together, we can create new opportunities for our residents, our businesses, and our future.”

As Executive Director, Smith will oversee the Chamber’s strategic initiatives, including member recruitment and retention, workforce development, and foster public and private collaboration. Ty will focus on unifying key Gadsden County stakeholders—government, education, and industry—to advance economic competitiveness and enhance quality of life for its residents.

“Ty’s strategic approach and passion for collaboration in every sector made him the ideal candidate for Executive Director,” said Ed Hinson, Board Member of the Gadsden County Chamber Board. “His ability to bring people from different sectors together and take his strategies to action is a great asset for the Chamber and the county’s overall future.”

Retiring after 20 years of leading the Chamber, former Executive Director, David Gardner, says, “I am confident in Ty’s leadership by not only the experience he brings, but his strong vision for the future of the Chamber, our presence in Gadsden County and the support to our members.”

Ty Smith will officially begin his role as Executive Director of the Gadsden County Chamber of Commerce on December 1, 2025.
