June 2025 Business Tips Recap
In the month of June, we shared many business tips on our social media stories weekly every Tuesday. If you missed them, here is a monthly recap!
Making a To-Do List
June 3, 2025
Prioritize Tasks
Number your list according to priority level and rearrange as needed. People often mistake quantity-heavy tasks as being more important than quality-heavy tasks. However, priority should be based on a combined system of time-sensitivity, productivity, and correspondence.
Time Management
Since you have prioritized your tasks, you can now efficiently manage your time. For example, if you complete task A, you will be able to complete task B and C in less time and with less effort.
You can also group related tasks that could be completed together or in the same block of time.
Learn, Learn, Learn

Learn From Others In The Market
Learn from others in the market. The small business community accepts newcomers with open arms. If you put yourself out there, chances are people who have been in the game will be more than welcome to tell you about their experiences and share some insider tips.
If you find someone in your community to be particularly inspiring, invite them out so you can pick their brains. Their insight could be incredibly valuable.
Ask For Help
When starting a small business don’t be afraid to ask for help. No one should be trying to reinvent the wheel by themselves.
When you get stuck in with your business plan and don’t know where to go, reach out to other business owners or mentors and get their insight into moving forward.
Starting a small business can seem lonely, but many people are ready and willing to help!
Succeed in Business

Analyze Your Competition
To be successful, you can’t afford to ignore your competitors. Take the time to study and learn from them.
If you own a restaurant or store, you can dine or shop at a competitor’s place of business, ask customers what they like or don’t like about it, and gain information.
If you have limited access to your competitors’ inner workings try to keep up with the news in relevant trade publications, speak with any customers you share in common, and obtain and scrutinize whatever financial information a competitor makes publicly available.
Understand the Risks & Rewards
Take calculated risks. Besides contemplating potential rewards, a good question to ask is: “What’s the downside if this doesn’t work out?” If you can live with the worst case scenario and prepare to take the necessary steps to manage the risk, you might want to give it a go.
Understanding risks and rewards includes being smart about the timing of starting a business or launching a new product. For example, certain products or services may be more popular during a particular period of the year.
Be Creative & Strategic
Always look for ways to improve your business and make it stand out. Recognize that you don’t know everything, so be open to new ideas and different approaches.
Keep an eye out for opportunities to expand your current business or develop related enterprises that will lead to additional revenues and provide the benefit of diversification. You’ll also need a strategy for market expansion.
Also, does it make sense to partner with another small business to gain access to their audience? How might you capture an entirely new market share? These are things you should be thinking about even in the early days of your business.
Think About Payment
June 24, 2025
Accept All Payment
Make it easy for all of your customers to purchase from you by allowing them to pay for their items or services in the way they prefer, whether that’s via credit card, debit card, mobile wallet, cash, check, or even gift card.
Giving your customers more payment options helps provide a seamless shopping experience and increases the likelihood that they’ll return.
Update Your POS System
A point-of-sale (POS) system can do much more than process payments. Using the latest software can help you manage your business from end to end, all in one dashboard, whether you’re at the store or on the road.
Track sales, schedule employees, monitor inventory, and process payroll. Enhance your system’s functionality by customizing it with the apps you need to manage your business, streamline your manual tasks, and grow sales.
